మనుస్మృతి

 మనుస్మృతి ఇలా చెబుతోంది: "త్రిభ్య ఏవ తు వేదేభ్యః పదం పదమదుదుహం".

గాయత్రీ యొక్క ప్రతి పదం (మూడు) వేదాలలో ఒకదాని నుండి తీసుకోబడింది. 

వేదసంబంధమైన అన్నిటినీ విడిచిపెట్టాము. 

గాయత్రీ మంత్రాన్ని కూడా వదులుకుంటే మన గతి ఏమవుతుంది?

శాస్త్రాల ప్రకారం చేసే అన్ని ఆచారాలకు గాయత్రీ-జపం చాలా అవసరం.

It means that each pada of Gayatri is taken from one of the (three) Vedas. We have forsaken all else that is Vedic. What will be our fate if we give up the Gayatri mantra also?

Gayatri-japa is essential to all rites performed according to the sastras.
