*🍀. అంతఃకరణాలు - 1 🍀*
93,94. అంతఃకరణ చతుష్టయములైన మనస్సు, బుద్ధి, చిత్తము, అహంకారము అనునవి వాటి పనులవి చేయుచున్నవి. మనస్సు వస్తు పరిజ్ఞానము పొందగా, బుద్ది సత్యాసత్యములను గ్రహించగా అహంకారము శరీరము తానే అను భావముతో తానే స్వయం ఆత్మగా భావిస్తుంది. చిత్తము తనకు నచ్చిన వస్తు విశేషములను గుర్తిస్తుంది.
95. ప్రాణ శక్తి తాను ప్రాణ, అపాన, వ్యాన, ఉదాన, సమాన అను ఐదు భాగములుగా తమతమ పనులను అనుసరించి విభజింపబడుతుంది. ఎలా అంటే బంగారముతో వివిధ ఆభరణములు తయారు చేయబడినట్లు. అలానే నీరు ప్రవాహముగా, నురుగుగా మారునట్లు.
96. ఐదు కర్మేంద్రియాల పనులైన వాక్కు మొదలగు కర్మల వలన జ్ఞానమును వినుట ద్వారా, తినుట, చేయుట ద్వారా పొందుచున్నవి. ఐదు ప్రాణములు, ఐదు భూతాలు వాటి వాటి చర్యలు బుద్ధిని ఉపయోగించి తన కోర్కెలను జీవాత్మ తీర్చుకొనుచున్నది.

The inner organ (Antahkarana) is called Manas, Buddhi, ego or Chitta, according to their respective functions: Manas, from its considering the pros and cons of a thing; Buddhi, from its property of determining the truth of objects; the ego, from its identification with this body as one’s own self; and Chitta, from its function of remembering things it is interested in.
95. One and the same Prana (vital force) becomes Prana, Apana, Vyana, Udana and Samana according to their diversity of functions and modifications, like gold, water, etc.
96. The five organs of action such as speech, the five organs of knowledge such as the ear, the group of five Pranas, the five elements ending with the ether, together with Buddhi and the rest as also Nescience, desire and action –these eight "cities" make up what is called the subtle body.
