Dear All,
This is an alert for all retired people who are drawing pension.
You may get a phone call from +91 78380 19490 . Caller is a lady who speaks in Hindi, and in the background you may hear typical call centre noises. She identifies her self as an executive of provident fund office , Delhi. And then she would read out some details of your postal address, retirement year, organisation where you have retired etc, and asks you to confirm. After conformation of the details, she will tell you that the group insurance policy which your organisation has purchased has matured and you would get RS.4,50,270 in to your bank account where ur pension is credited in 3 working days. Then she instructs you to do a NEFT transfer of RS.5110 in an account given by her. She would also tell you that RS.5000 would be refunded and the remaining amount is for administrative expenses.
I have received such call today.
Pl be warned that this is new cyber crime that I came to know after checking with appropriate authorities.
